I have lots of travel copy that needs to be used and have been on many great press trips where I have not been able to write about all aspects of the trip in the commission, so when I found out about the possibility of writing for The Travel Editor, it seemed like a good opportunity.
The Travel Editor is an online compendium of independent travel reviews and inspiration from experts in their field and professional travel writers. It's put together well, and what I like about it is that it features single attractions or hotels, rather than focusing on longer articles in which you have to dig out the information you might be looking for.
For example, I've just written a small article 'Sweet treats at Charly's Bakery, Cape Town', which is only about Charly's Bakery and nothing else - it means the reader can have a really thorough review and find out more about just one attraction in a destination.
I've now got an author profile on the site and have been busy putting up other articles. At the moment I've been concentrating on getting more from my Western Cape trip on there, but will expand with other destinations in time.
It will help raise my profile if you become a 'fan' of me - it's free to register on the site so please, just log on and add yourself as a 'fan'!
I'm really loving the theme/design of your web site. Do you ever run into any internet browser compatibility issues? A number of my blog readers have complained about my website not operating correctly in Explorer but looks great in Opera. Do you have any suggestions to help fix this problem?
