Poetry on the Lake 10th International Poetry Competition

Details: 3 categories, suggested theme all: 'Mediterranean'. Silver Wyvern:max.60 lines. Formal verse: max.40 lines. Short: max.10 lines Adjudicators: James Harpur, Carole Baldock, Kevin Bailey. Prizes: Silver Wyvern + 500 Euros; 100 Euros x 3 runners-up; Short & Formal: each 100 Euros.First in each also: a year’s subscription to Orbis and publication therein
Entry Fee: £8 for the first poem; 2nd & 3rd £6 per poem, then £5 per poem. Under 18's: two free, then £5

Indigo Dreams Summer Collection Competition 2010
Closing Date: 21-May-10
Details: Three winners will have poetry collection published by Indigo Dreams Publishing and receive 50 copies. Submission: Selection of 10-15 poems to 36 lines max. Full details/email/overseas entries visit the website.

Lymington Arts Festival Open Poetry Competition 2010

Details: For poems of up to 40 lines on the theme of Solstice. Three categories for entrants; up to age 11 ; up to age 17; 18 and over. Over £250 of prizes.

Leaf Books Poetry Competition
Closing Date: 31 May 2010
Details: Leaf Books invites you to submit poems (max 35 lines) on any subject. Winning and commended entries will be published in an anthology and very outstanding poems in the Leaf Writing magazine. First Prize: Winner receives £200 and a free copy of the anthology. Runners up receives a free copy of the anthology and 10 free mini-books. All published authors will be able to pre- order the book and the magazine at a significantly reduced rate.
